Portland Craft Beer PRIDE Week Closing Party

Bid farewell to Portland Beer Week’s Craft Beer Pride Week at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom Closing Party on June 23! Sip on a collection of beers from nine of McMenamins Breweries while you dance the evening away to live music from the all-female rock band Ashleigh Flynn and the Riveters, and dance-punk tunes from J. Graves.  

 

Best of all, the evening of drinking and dancing supports a great cause - 10% of the ticket proceeds go to the Q Center, benefitting the LGBTQ+ community in Portland Metro and Southwest Washington.

Craft Beer Pride Week Color Throw! *Craft Beer Pride Week Event*

Portland Beer Week and Threshold Brewing present the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Pride Week Color Throw!

Join Threshold Brewing on Saturday, June 22 at 4 p.m. for an explosion of every color under the sun! Wear something white or bright and we’ll fill up Threshold Brewing’s outdoor street plaza for an all-out color throw. Entry is free and open to all ages. Color powder packets provided with a suggested donation to Pride Northwest. The festivities will conclude with a celebratory parade around the Portland Montavilla neighborhood, showing off everyone’s amazing colors!

Where: Threshold Brewing, 403 SE 79th Ave, Portland, OR 97215

When: Saturday, June 22, 4 – 6 p.m.

Who: All ages and all are welcome!

Cost: Free to attend, with color powder packets provided for a suggested donation to Pride Northwest.

Pride Northwest is a non-profit organization with year-round programs that work to uplift the visibility of LGBTQIA2S+ people in Oregon and SW Washington, educate allies and workplaces on LGBTQIA2S+ issues, and celebrate the successes of groups and individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Queer Storytelling Game Day at TPK Brewing *Craft Beer Pride Week Event*

As part of PDX Beer Week’s Craft Beer PRIDE Week events tabletop roleplaying game brewpub TPK Brewing will be running a variety of one shots throughout the day celebrating queer storytelling across a variety of different systems!

Each game is booked separately on a per-seat basis (links below), no preparation, experience, or materials are required, and drop-ins are welcome as long as the session still has room day-of. Sessions are $15 a seat, with $5 of each ticket going to Q Center. Additionally, we'll have Pride drink specials and 10% of all drink sales will be donated to Q Center as well. We look forward to celebrating with you!

  • 11-1 PM - Who the Devil Are You? run by GM Sage. Haüs of Barbie: The infamous Drag-Haüs of Barbie is throwing their Annual Pride Day Barbecue—but who invited the GI Joes, and what do they want with Ken? Light hearted and rules light, access your inner Barbie and make the world sparkle with your Dream-Haüs magic!!! Kens and Skippers welcome. Ages 13+

  • 2-4 PM - Everyone is John run by GM Sage. Everyone is Gay: It’s not easy being SuperDuper Man, the world’s pre-eminent superhero. You have to live up to your big butch image all the time. But what if your inner yearnings lean a little….queer? You do what comes naturally of course: you repress it and your super-psyche fractures into multiple personalities (with their own superpowers) and fight through your oppression for domination!!!! Everyone is John is a humorous, competitive roleplaying game about playing the various personalities of John, an unstable Superhero. All of the other players are Voices in John’s head. Ages 16+

  • 3-5 PM - Visigoths vs. Mall Goths run by GM Kristina. Quoth the Raven "Whatever": Thanks to a time-bending ouija accident, two groups of outsiders now reside at the same hangout spot. Who will be the ultimate rulers of the mall? Explore your territory, lay claim to shops, and meet smoochable NPCs! Ages 13+

  • 4-6 PM - Thirsty Sword Lesbians (PbtA) run by GM Rowan. Showdown on Aurum-9: “Cosmoknights... ready your weapons... start your engines... get set... joust!" The joust of Aurum-9 is underway for the hand of Princess Astra and control of the system. But things are not as they seem, a dark plot threatens the princess's life and it's up to a ragtag team of Freelance Cosmoknights to save the day.  Dawn your power armor and grab your sword in this action-packed Sci fi fantasy set in the world of “Cosmoknights” by Hannah Templer. Ages 16+

  • 6-8 PM - Moonlight on Roseville Beach run by GM Kristina. Ravenous Rave: It's the summer of 1979, you and your housemates are all working in the gay vacation town of Roseville Beach. By night, you're solving mysteries and keeping the town safe from things that go bump in the night! Ages 13+

  • 7-9 PM - In-Extremis (Lumen) run by GM Rowan. The Transcendent Tomb: The Splendid and Beautiful Empyrean is dying from a wound even the greatest Necromancers cannot heal. Their only hope lies in the Transcendent Tomb on The Dead Moon. As a powerful Necromancer trusted by the Empyrean, you must undertake this perilous mission. Alongside a handful of companions bound by unspoken romances, unresolved rivalries, and clashing ambitions, you must deliver and defend the Empyrean in a suicidal last stand. Ages 16+
