Portland Beer Week, Salt & Straw Ice Cream, and Breakside Brewery present the “Make Your Own IPA Ice Cream” workshop with Salt & Straw co-founder Tyler Malek and Breakside Brewery brewmaster Ben Edmunds.
Join Tyler and Ben to learn how beer ice creams are made, and how to incorporate the flavors of malt, fermentation and hops into and the ice cream flavors into beer. Each attendee can customize a pint of their own IPA-inspired ice cream in this workshop. Along the way, they’ll discuss their collaborations over the years and the techniques they use to bring it to life.
Each attendee receives a takeaway bag with their ice cream creation, a Salt & Straw recipe book, and a bottle of Breakside Brewery’s Shasta Taffy barrel-aged stout collaboration with Salt & Straw.
The "Make Your Own IPA Ice Cream" workshop is a Portland Beer Week event (June 14-23rd) and takes place just in time for you to make the Breakside Woodlawn Block Party at their original Dekum location in NE Portland.
