Portland Beer and Cheese Fest, is an all inclusive celebration of cheese and it's ultimate beer pairings. Founded by master cheesemonger Steve Jones and PDXBeerWeek.com, each of 10 different breweries and cidery have been expertly paired with a corresponding cheese in this carefully guided tour of flavor.

Each festival entry ticket is for all 10 pairing, plus bonus snacks and accompaniments like a manchego cheese sour beer ice cream from Salt & Straw Ice Cream.

This year’s Portland Beer and Cheese Fest will be held at the new Bauman’s Cider Portland location - Bauman’s on Oak! This will be an indoor and outdoor (weather dependent) event with a more intimate crowd then previous years.

Cheesemonger Steve Jones is the founder/owner of such seminal shops as Cheese Bar, and the Cheese Annex. In 2011, Steve competed with 40 cheesemongers from around the world to win the 2nd Annual Cheesemonger Invitational in Long Island, New York. Steve has appeared in local and national media outlets, including Portland’s Live Wire radio show and National Public Radio’s The Splendid Table.

In 2012 Steve and Portland Beer Week organizer Ezra Johnson-Greenough teamed with The Commons Brewery owner Mike Wright to found the first ever Portland Beer and Cheese Festival. 

Portland Beer Week and Threshold Brewing present the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Pride Week Color Throw!

Join Threshold Brewing on Saturday, June 22 at 4 p.m. for an explosion of every color under the sun! Wear something white or bright and we’ll fill up Threshold Brewing’s outdoor street plaza for an all-out color throw. Entry is free and open to all ages. Color powder packets provided with a suggested donation to Pride Northwest. The festivities will conclude with a celebratory parade around the Portland Montavilla neighborhood, showing off everyone’s amazing colors!

Classic crowd-favorite Portland Beer Week event, the Brewers Burger Brawl will be hosted by Brujos Brewing and Saint Lovejoy's kitchen this year on Saturday, June 22nd. Brujos is welcoming 4 guest breweries and teams for the grill-out beer and burger party. A workshop on how to take beer photos, different photo styles, general concepts of still photography, and more! The class will be presented by both Warren Wills (known to some as Craft Beer Scribe – a local beer writer and photographer) and our own Laurence Oliver IV (host of Mosaic’s photography club and owner of Mosaic Taphouse)! After the workshop there will be an opportunity to apply what you've learned with a photo competition!

Loyal Legion beer hall in Beaverton will host Little Beast Brewing and Funky Fauna Artisan Ales for a tap takeover and beer release for their new collaboration ‘Story Forest’ Brett IPA.

Story Forest is a funky brett IPA. Primarily fermented with Chico ale yeast, then aged with Brettanomyces anomalus var. clausenii (widely called Brett C) for several months. To bring out more flavor, we dry-hopped it with Nectaron and HBC 586 to add the final touch to this new elixir. So, if you’re a fan of the funk and hops, Story Forest is the right brew for you. ABV: 6.4%
